This website provides a centralized location for the posting and exchange of information on the development and use of polyethylene diffusion bag (PDB) samplers, as well as other passive sampling devices. The ITRC Diffusion Sampler Team is working with the US Air Force, US Navy, USEPA, USGS, and private industry, to compile, analyze, and disseminate information on the deployment of PDBs on a national basis.

Site users can access a current listing of deployments nationwide, news updates, and a searchable case study database. This site also provides a library of several hundred technical and informational reports and presentations on passive sampler technologies. A recorded version of our 2-hour training module is available, as is a field training video on using PDBs. The key documents section is the place to access guidance documents published by the team.

The ITRC Diffusion Sampler Team is promoting a dialogue on regulatory issues associated with the appropriate deployment of PDB samplers and analysis of the resulting data. We are very interested in feedback on how to make this site most useful to site visitors.
